Harrogate Charity Shop Challenge

Another chance to combine a fun morning in Harrogate with supporting charities (and possibly bagging a bargain or two for your spring collection and Easter ornament present box).

A great event for any new members.

The plan is to meet up initially in the family room in the Winter Gardens (aka Spoons) not later than 10.00 am, then hit the charity shops (there are 13 in the town centre, eight alone on the adjacent Commercial and Beulah Streets, and meet back in the family room at the Winter Gardens at 12.30 to show off our purchases. Going out in smallish groups seemed to work well last time.

We’ll try to book the family room again so we will have our own private space. There is, of course, coffee, food and alcoholic refreshment available in Spoons, and arriving before 9.30 will give time for a coffee and chat about strategy.

To make it more fun we can again decide on the best buys and the lucky winner will have the unequalled satisfaction of being crowned Mini Adventures Spring 2025 Champion Charity Shopper.

Purchases should be made with the following competition categories in mind: Best Bargain and Most Hideous Ornament* (trust me, there’s no shortage of items in this last category).

Finally, we are all adults, so you must accept responsibility for your own personal safety and that of your guests if any. No fighting in the shops please. Except over the ornaments obviously.
