The "No" Ale . . . History Trail
A History of the Public House
Join us for an evening walk around Knaresborough as we explore the stories behind the town’s pubs, past and present.
This is all trail and no ale, offering a chance to discover the hidden histories and curious tales linked to some of Knaresborough’s best-known watering holes.
The walk will be led by Gerry, who regularly runs history tours and has a real passion for sharing the town’s past. You’ll hear all sorts of intriguing details as we make our way through the town centre on well-maintained footpaths.
The trail will take roughly an hour and costs £3 per person, payable on the night. All proceeds will be donated to Dogs Trust — Gerry’s chosen charity.
Dogs: Please let Gerry know if you are intending to bring your furry friend. Only well-behaved dogs on leads can join this trail.
We’ll finish the walk at one of the local pubs, where you’re welcome to join us for a drink afterwards if you’d like – totally optional, of course.
Spaces are limited, so we’d appreciate RSVPs only from those able to attend.
See you on the night!
