The Ministry of Testing - Boston will be holding its November meeting at mabl's offices, 101 Arch St., 16th floor.

The format for this meeting is a series of lightning talks about any topic relevant to the test community. Each presentation will be limited to 10 minutes, with a total of six talks:

-- Robot Framework Is Not Just For GUI by Meredith Courtney

-- Seven Excuses Software Testers Need to Stop Making by Kristin Jackvony
Navy Seals Jocko Willink and Leif Babin popularized the concept of "Extreme Ownership" in their book of the same name. Extreme Ownership means taking personal responsibility for everything that happens in your team, rather than pointing fingers and blaming others. This concept is applicable in all careers, not just the military! In this talk, I'll discuss seven excuses software testers need to stop making in order to start practicing Extreme Ownership.

-- Serverless Preview Environments to the Rescue by Joe Lust
End to end testing every commit is a challenge solved with serverless preview environments. Traditionally only select environments like "integration" and "UAT" could be fully tested, because apps required deployment tooling. Using modern serverless cloud solutions, you can deploy and host every commit, providing immediate PR feedback on feature branches and discovering problems long before they're merged.

-- Shift your Load Testing Left with BrowserUp by Eric Beland

-- Talk by Dan Feldman

-- Improve Quality Culture Using Visualization by Bertold Kolics
Quick tips on how to engage your team better and build better quality products faster by visualizing the CI/CD pipeline

This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to get some experience with presenting in public, so please get in touch with Lisa ([masked]) if you would like to volunteer to do a lightning talk!
