Bloomin' Metric Bike Ride 2025 with Miramar Ski Club

Details
Let's get together on Sunday, May 18th to ride the Bloomin' Metric, a multi-level,
non-competitive bike ride along the Connecticut Sound and its scenic countryside.
It starts and ends at Sherwood Island State Park. It is a supported ride with rest areas and refreshments before, during, and after the event, all run by the Sound Cyclists.
Bloomin' Metric is one of the best rides in Connecticut! Be ready for spectacular views of cherry blossoms and Long Island Sound! This ride takes place during the height of the dogwood and azalea blooming season in the spring—that's where the event's name came from! It takes riders along the shorelines and beaches and through the tree-lined watersheds of Fairfield County.
There are four routes:
- 15 miles (25 km), suggested start 9:30–10:00 AM
- 25 miles (40 km), suggested start 8:30–9:30 AM
- 47 miles (75 km), suggested start 7:30–9:00 AM
- 62 miles (100 km), suggested start 7:00–7:30 AM
You can get to Sherwood Island State Park via car,
or by biking 1.5 miles from the Green's Farm Metro-North station.
You must register for the Event on the Bloomin' Metric website.
Register by April 30th for the lowest registration fee.
Please also RSVP so we know to expect you
and can connect train riders and car pools.
