Peace With Yin—A Yin and Meditation Master Class With Jessica de la Tejera
Details
Come nourish yourself by sitting and practicing together in Sangha~Community. In this intensive two-hour Yin class, Jess will lead you through three methods of awareness meditation, long-held floor poses, breathwork, and self-reflection. Delicately interweaving poetry, Eastern philosophy, anatomy, breathing techniques, and psychological inquiry, Jess will meet you exactly where you are, leaving you with meditative strategies you can use independently on and off the mat. All levels are welcome.
Yin Yoga is an essential complement to an active, Yang practice. Floor poses are held for time, stressing the deeper, connective tissues and joints of the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine. Internal organs become more balanced as the flow of Chi is improved throughout the system. Mind and body are calmed, circulation is increased, stress and anxiety are reduced, and fascia is released to increase joint mobility. Find peace with Yin!

Meet Jessica de la Tejera
Jess first discovered yoga while looking for a way to manage stress and integrate more physical activity into her busy schedule. What she found on her mat was so much more. Yoga proved to be a portal to healing—authentic, shamanic healing through embodiment and self-compassion—igniting her spirit in unimaginable ways. This spark led Jess deep into a journey of self-transformation and learning through years of teaching and training in various yoga modalities. She earned her 200 hour YTT certification in 2012 and is currently a student of the Insight Yoga Institute's 500 hour training program where the three branches of Buddhism, Depth-Psychology, and Yoga are merged as a cohesive practice.
Through her heart-felt Yin classes Jess aims to help you discover your own infinite well of inner resources through meditative techniques, skillful sequences aligned with energetic qualities, and support in finding your physical and mental edge within the poses. Students have the opportunity to pause the busyness of life, reflect on patterns of thinking, investigate the root cause of bodily sensations, and ultimately transform body, heart, and mind towards a calmer, more natural way of being. It is from this place that compassion grows, benefiting the entire community, or, Sangha. Jess is dedicated to her own continuous healing through yoga and loves to share the practices that have helped her with others.
