Title: EF Core from Zero to Hero in 45 minutes

Abstract: Entity Framework Core (EF Core) 1.1 was recently released to market in November 2016. After several release candidates and lots of community input, Microsoft has given their stripped down, cross-platform coding platform to developers. However, there's still a lot of misconceptions on what EF Core does and what the right scenario is for its use.

In In this demo-filled session, Obi will dig into some of the concepts ranging from Change Tracking, Code First Modelling, Stored Procedures usage, Package Manager's PowerShell commands, Support for Data stores, newer APIs etc. that will arm you with enough arsenal to make you a productive developer at your work place.

Bio: Obi Oberoi is a Microsoft MVP, Technology Evangelist and a Consultant who works in designing and developing enterprise level distributed applications using the Microsoft Development Stack.

Obi lives in Mississauga and has been working with .NET since the first betas. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and is passionate about ORM's. Obi takes an active role in organizing and speaking at User Groups and Conferences in North America.
