Brick Works Evening Walk!

Evening Walk at the Brick Works: Join us for an even at The Brick Works! They have a great pound and a little area. We will start at Mount Pleasant Cemetery and end at Rosedale Subway Station to the Brickworks

Meetup Details

PLEASE NOTE: There are 3 entrances to the cemetery. CLICK ON THE GOOGLE MAP to see where we will be meeting on YONGE STREET. If you end up at the wrong entrance, you will not be able to join us for the walk as the cemetery has many paths.

Meetup Spot: I will be standing close to the gates inside Mount Pleasant Cemetery at the Yonge Street entrance and I will be wearing my Moose Hat. There are MANY enteances OFF OF YONGE. You want the one with BIG ARCH WAY.

Meetup Time: 6:30am

Meetup Fee: $5 cash in person or E-transfer -You can send the E-transfer to mathewmaclean@hotmail.com

END SPOT: Yonge and Davisville Station.

After The Walk: After, Let's head over to the Crown and Dragon for some drinks and wings. It's about a 5 min walk from the station.

More About the Brick Works: The city of Toronto as a lot of wonderful hiking trailers. One of them happens to be the one that will take you to the Brick Works. From 1889 to the 1980s the Don Valley Brick Works was one of Canada’s pre-eminent brickyards. In the 1990s, the City and TRCA raised approximately $6 million to restore the site’s quarry as a park and natural area. It opened in 1996, the park is an awe-inspiring haven for wildlife and naturalists alike at the heart of Toronto’s ravines. With the winter season upon us why not enjoy a winter wonderland walk to the historic Brick Works. One can never know what they will see on this walk!

Can I Just Leave?: Any time you like. It should take about 3hrs with a small break.

REMEMBER YOU CAN JUST SHOW UP OR JUST SHOW UP ON THE DAY OF IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU CAN MAKE IT.
