Welcome to the Make New Friends Tampa Bay Meetup group! If you're in your 20s or 30s and interested in making new friends in the Tampa Bay area, this group is for you.
Events
We host free Happy Hour events on Fridays, about once a month. Our usual location is Armature Works, where there's plenty of room and lots of great food and drink options. Drinking alcohol is completely optional. Check below to see our upcoming events.
Members
This group is free, and anyone can join. Our goal is not just to host events, but to grow an environment where members can make new friends. We get many new members every month - usually about half of our event attendees are brand new to Tampa Bay!
Posting Guidelines
Since this is a public group, we sometimes get spam posts in the comments. Please be mindful, and don't give your information to people you don't know. Come make new friends at one of our events instead :)
To keep everyone safe, please observe the following in comments/chat:
- Don't ask people to meet you outside of our meetup events
- Don't post ads for things that you want to sell or other commercial spam
- Don't ask people to send you their contact info - use Meetup chat instead
- Don't post links to events in other groups without checking with the organizers

Tampa Bay Make New Friends Happy Hour 20s & 30s

Whether you're new to Tampa, a longtime local, or just visiting, join us for a relaxed social hangout to meet new people and make new friends.
No agenda — just friendly people coming together to chat, grab food or drinks, and enjoy good conversation in an easygoing atmosphere.

How to find us
We meet at the picnic tables in front of Armature Works, between 7th Ave and the river - see the red circled area in the attached picture. When you arrive, look for people wearing nametags. Please message me (Matt) directly if you can't find us.Where to park
Parking nearby is paid on Fridays, typically around $10–$15 in surrounding lots. Street parking is also available for about $2/hour via ParkMobile.When to arrive
Whenever you can - no rush to get here right at the start. Many attendees are coming from work or from further away, so folks will cycle in and out throughout the evening.What to expect
Just friendly conversation with other people looking to make new friends. Usually about half of the attendees are brand new to Tampa Bay!Many people come alone, especially if they’re new to the area, and there’s absolutely no pressure to drink (plenty of water and non-alcoholic options available at Armature Works).
When you arrive, pick up a nametag and say hello - I do my best to greet everybody coming in and help you connect to others.
Weather policy
In case of severe weather, I may cancel the event or post an alternate location for us to meet. If so, I'll announce it here by 2pm on that day.Questions?
