About us

Moai are Japanese for "meeting for a common purpose". Moai groups provide social, financial, health, or spiritual support. Research suggests that social connections can have a positive impact on health and happiness. To counteract the "brain rot" on social media and the loneliness epidemic, the intention behind this group is to create a core group of members who will meet consistently, preferably in person, to get to know each other in an authentic way, and engage in a variety of creative activities and discussions around healthy food and drink. The objective of the group is to get to know each other, have fun, and develop deeper connections for the long term.

Group members should be:
-committed to meeting at least twice a month
-open to connecting with others, being authentic
-over 40
-capable of overcoming conflicts, disappointments,

During our fellowship meetings we will engage in getting-to-know you activities, visual arts/journaling that delve into deeper parts of self, small talk, board games, drama games, book talks, improv conversations, scavenger hunts, joke telling, story telling, or anything important to the group.
