The new framework from apple promises a great feature that we can quite easily add to our shiny apps. Turns out there are some great surprises prepared for us. We will go over the framework and find ways to work with it efficiently.

Piotr is a Mobile Warsaw co-organizer, iOS Devleloper at stoic, big fan of movement and physical activities. He enjoys reading history & psychology related stuff. Used to play old classic rpg's and larp's maybe those times will come back.

19:50 — Piotrek Jeremicz - Swift Macros in practice

Swift macros are a new, very powerful tool that allows you to generate code at compile time. This powerful add-on allows you to get rid of redundant, repetitive code by automatically generating a new one. All this happens in a clear and transparent way.

I will present a case of using the macro by resolving a strong type hidden under the opaque type. This case will improve my networking package, which patterns its request implementation on the approach used in SwiftUI.

Piotrek about himself:

It started with a broken hand and compensation - the first Mac mini appeared. Shortly after the first iPhone, my first serious project and professional job, I fell in love with development. After 13 years of passion for creating mobile applications, I can't imagine doing anything else. Providing the best user experience is something that brings a smile to my face. The second thing is the trains - I have a train to trains!
