MOCWA Paddling Meetup

Meetup with other Outdoor Enthusiasts over 45 who like to be on or near the water. Meet other paddlers who have their own “Hard Shell” kayaks and canoes (Sorry No inflatables) to eventually create a networking opportunity to plan paddling opportunities together.
We are not Kayak Ontario “Certified” group.
You are responsible for your own safety.
PFD’s must be worn while on the water during events with this group.
Your watercraft must also have a kayak/canoe float safety kit.
These events will be alcohol/drug/tobacco/vape free. This includes legal cannabis!
Event safety briefings will be acknowledged.
A “Group Event” is a group event, we do not appreciate paddlers who decide to “Go off and do their own thing” during an event.
That behaviour has caused concern, anxiety and stolen the pleasure of paddling from others during events.
Any safety violations will result in a ban from this group.
This is a great opportunity to use your boat more often with like minded friends, to gain more paddling skills on the water, to discover more great places to paddle, and just to enjoy being outdoors more often.
Your MOCWA annual contributions will be honoured at MOCWA Paddling Events otherwise its a Toonie per event or $15 annually for all other MOCWA events.
Members must have a recent clear profile picture and a first name with surname initials or surname. (NO nicknames, numbers, cute codes etc.) in their membership profile.

It helps us if you get separated from the group.
Membership in this group will be refused for pictures of a dog and a handle such as
“65 Guy”.
