What we’re about
Model Photography Events with Dakota offers a variety of workshops and shootouts for photographers of all experience levels. The goal is to create events that are educational, inclusive to all photographer levels, cover a wide variety of genres, build community, are well organized and a lot of fun! Though created by Dakota, the events will always involve a team of fantastic artists, lighting directors, muses, etc. and is not dominated by any one person. The goal is to work together to offer something unique and exciting and to inspire creativity and passion in our attendees.
Location: These events are usually local to the DMV area but every once in a while we are known to get out to places in Pennsylvania. So, typically they are the metropolitan area of Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Dakota also posts any national and international photo adventures in this group.
For the educational aspect of our events, we will offer a variety: From events with a lighting director to educate you on various lighting techniques, to workshops dedicated to learning how to pose and interact professionally with a model, to learning about art direction and how to bring a concept to life, there will be a ton of events for you to choose from!
