On a desolate landscape dominated by a massive rock outcropping, Power and Might, servants of all-devising Zeus, drag a chained prisoner—Prometheus, bound in chains forged by Hephaestus, for stealing Zeus’ glory, all-crafting fire, and inexplicably gifting it to mortals, to human beings.

Whether moved by sympathy for mortals and Io, or by defiance of the decrees of Zeus Olympios, Prometheus Bound meditates on the tyranny, predation, and torment that accompanies human progress, enlightenment.
