The September Boulder Real Estate Meetup is on the calendar. It's scheduled for Wednesday, September 28th at 7pm. I hope you'll join us.

Our meetup will feature the usual networking and social opportunities, plus several in depth discussions on interesting real estate topics. Mark Attard (http://www.earthcoresips.com/team/) will be joining us to talk about a revolutionary building material, structurally insulated panels (SIPS). I'll be presenting an in-depth review of how Boulder's market performed this year. I've also invited a third presenter, but he hasn't confirmed yet, so stay tuned.

For the uneducated (including me, until recently) - structural insulated panels (SIPs) are high performance building panels used in floors, walls, and roofs for residential and light commercial buildings. The panels are typically made by sandwiching a core of rigid foam plastic insulation between two structural skins of oriented strand board (OSB). Other skin material can be used for specific purposes. SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be custom designed for each home. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective.

Mark is a founder and Chief Sustainability Officer of Earthcore SIPS (http://www.earthcoresips.com/). Created two years ago, Earthcore SIPS has a vision to become the leading innovator and provider of structural insulated panels made in the United States of America. With their own standards and specifications, Earthcore moved quickly from third party contract manufacturing to in house manufacturing, becoming the first structural insulated panel manufacturer in Boulder County, Colorado.

Please join us for an educational and engaging event next Wednesday. We look forward to seeing you.
