What we’re about
Purpose: Looking to create a small, laid back, group for local adult (21+) beginner guitar players; a group that will hang out, play a bit, talk, maybe go to a guitar shop together once in a while. It is my intent that folks will ultimately make one or two good friends and meet on their own, outside of this group, on a more frequent basis.
Who should join? Chill folks, not looking to shred. Beginners who want to learn from and play with other beginners, in a casual, hang out setting. Open to straight and gay alike.
Activities: Play guitar, talk, play some more, help each other, tell lies, play some more.
Guitar teaching: we don't teach lessons, we're all beginners hanging out in a casual setting. No formal teaching will take place - we're just hanging out, meeting like-minded beginners.
Acoustic vs Electric? Acoustic guitars are welcome, unplugged. Electric guitars are welcome, also unplugged (they work fine for informal purposes, strumming, learning, etc, while unplugged).
