Dragon Time
Details
It’s that time of year again — when the open road calls our names. Few rides match the thrill of the PA Tail of the Dragon, a stretch of winding asphalt that twists and dips through some of the most scenic landscapes in the region. Each curve demands focus, each straightaway rewards you with stunning views of rolling hills and forested valleys. It’s not just about the ride — it’s about the rhythm of the road, the hum of the engine beneath you, and the sense of freedom that only two wheels can bring. Whether you’re leaning into corners or pausing at an overlook to catch your breath, the PA Tail of the Dragon never disappoints.
The Rules of the Road (and the Group):
Formation: Staggered, using the 2 second rule. We stick together.
Communication: Hand signals are how we stay connected. We’ll point out turns, potholes, and hazards. If you’re new to group riding, don’t sweat it—we’ll help you out, but try to keep up with the basics so we all stay safe.
Traffic Laws: We follow them. Mostly. We stop at red lights. We roll through all-way stops as a group to avoid getting split up, but we yield right of way and stay legal enough to keep the peace.
Pace: Ride your own ride. If you fall back, we pull over and wait. We don’t leave people behind.
Comms: Organizers run Sena headsets. If you’ve got one, jump on the channel. If you don’t, you’re still welcome; just keep your eyes up and your signals sharp.
