Monterey Poets Society

Hey everyone, and welcome to the Monterey Poets Society! This is a group for anyone interested in poetry. Join me for poetry readings aloud of your own works or sharing poems from poets you like. After reading aloud the poem of your choosing, you can tell us why that poem speaks to you, and if any group member wishes to, they can speak to why that poem spoke to them as well. In the last 15 minutes of the meetup, we will dedicate ourselves to writing a short poem and reading aloud our work; if you want to share, there is no pressure. So, bring a poem, works of poets, pen and paper, or a laptop! This is a laid-back gathering where we talk about poetry.
