Paella on the Patio Party

It began with a vision…

A rustic villa above Platja de Pals, on the golden coast of Catalonia where the sea murmurs below. A breeze stirs the olive trees.

A large, flat pan sits over open flame—crackling with the alchemy of spices drawn from ancient trade routes:
• Saffron from La Mancha, rare and crimson, hand-harvested from crocus blossoms that bloom just once a year
• Smoked paprika from Extremadura, earthy and deep
• Golden garlic from Las Pedroñeras, kissed by Castilian sun
• Bay leaves from the Levant, a nod to distant shores
• Olive oil from Andalusia, green-gold and silky
• Short-grain rice from Valencia, thirsting for flavor, destined to crisp

This is not dinner—it’s a ritual. And now, we bring it to Pacific Grove.

We’re cooking up a massive, traditional chicken and seafood paella with reverence, precision, and a little swagger. No chorizo. No sausage. No tourist traps here.

What to bring:
• A Latin American-inspired dish, appetizer, or dessert
• OR a bottle of wine from Spain, Argentina, Chile, or beyond
• One well-chosen +1 (choose wisely—the pan only feeds so many)

Attendance is limited to 25.

Spots will go fast, and we ask for commitment. Late cancellations may incur the mysterious wrath of the Order de Fey, a secret society of paella purists sworn to protect the sanctity of RSVP etiquette.
