For as long as I have lived in the Hollywood neighborhood The Moon and Sixpence has been my favorite place to go.
I love everything inside the pub; the food, the atmosphere, the bar seats, the chairs and the old tables you sit down at for meals. It is fascinating to watch how busy the bar gets when there are soccer games being shown. It adds to the whole experience of being at the pub.
The outside patio is an amazing place to sit & enjoy the weather and some live music that happens Sunday Monday & Wednesday.
The Moon and Sixpence is a classic British-style pub in Portland, Oregon, known for its authentic atmosphere, extensive beer selection (including cask ales), and traditional pub food like fish and chips, Welsh rarebit, and cottage pie. It features a cozy, unfussy interior with wooden tables, dartboards, and a loyal local following, offering a genuine pub experience with a focus on craft and imported beer.
Cuisine: British pub fare, including fish and chips, pot pies, and Welsh rarebit.
Drinks: A wide variety of draft beers, including local craft options, English and Irish ales, and cask-conditioned ales served from beer engines.
Atmosphere: Casual, cozy, and authentic, with a local, neighborhood feel.
Entertainment: Darts and live music, often featuring soccer games.
