This is a group for foodies! We will be enjoying Calgary's best food establishments.
Directions for attending our events are as follows..
1. Click to join the event. This only puts you on the wait list. At this point you are NOT confirmed to attend the event…even though your meetup may say you are going!
2. E-Transfer the event host the deposit amount listed for that event. A deposit is required for the member AND any guest. Please do not send a deposit, unless you are sure about attending the event.
3. Send a message to the host AFTER you send the e-transfer (don’t forget tell the host which event the deposit is for)
4. Once the host receives your deposit, they will reply to your message letting you are going to the event. YOU ARE NOT CONFIRMED AS GOING, UNTIL THE HOST CONFIRMS THEY HAVE RECEIVED A DEPOSIT AND MOVES YOU FROM THE WAIT LIST, TO THE GOING LIST ON MEETUP. If you do not hear from the host within 2 days of sending your deposit, it is your responsibility to contact them.
5. At the event, you will receive your deposit back.
6. Getting moved to the going list is based on when your deposit is received, not by when you joined the wait list. If you are unsure of any information provided in this email or on the event details, please reach out to the host as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the day before the event or the morning of the event. Thank you for being apart of this group!

NO Deposit no Spot
Chinese New Year, or the Spring Festival is a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. Marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring, this festival takes place from Chinese New Year's Eve (the evening preceding the first day of the year) to the Lantern Festival, held on the 15th day of the year.
Each Lunar Year corresponds with one of the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. The 2025 Lunar Year will be the Year of the Snake more specifically, Wood Snake, starting from January 29th, 2025, and lasting until February 16th, 2026.
We will meet at Shanghai Classic Restaurant at 7pm.

- This event will always look full. This ensures I receive your deposit, before I move you to the confirmed going list.
- There are spots available for the event, until the title is changed to EVENT FULL.
Step 1: Read all the details of the event, including the information on Gratuity & Return of Deposit.
Step 2: Join the wait list for the event.

Step 4: Once I receive your deposit, I will move you to the confirmed going list. If you have not been moved to the confirmed going list, within two days of sending your deposit, it is your responsibility to contact me.
Step 5: Attend the event and have fun!RETURN OF DEPOSIT:
- You will receive your $$$ deposit back at the event.
- After sending me your deposit for this event you will only receive your deposit back, if a replacement is found to take your spot. If a replacement cannot be found, then the deposit goes towards the fee charged by the restaurant.
Or
- After sending me your deposit for this event you will only receive your deposit back, if you cancel before January 28, 2025
- If you cancel between January 28, 2025 and January 30, 2025, you will only receive your deposit back, if a replacement can be found.
- If you cancel the day before, or the day of the event, then the deposit goes towards the fee charged by the restaurant.
- If you do not show up at the event, you will not receive your deposit back. The deposit goes towards the fee charged by the restaurant, for the no show.
- Not showing up to events, and/or constant last-minute changes to your commitment to events, can result removal from the group.
GRATUITY:
Please note that most restaurants will charge an automatic 18%-20% gratuity, on parties of six or more.
