About us
Drives, walks, hikes and tours in the neighborhoods and in the beautiful parks of San Francisco and the glorious environs of Mount Tamalpais and all along the Coast, as well as wonderful Berkeley and the Eastbay. The architecture is fantastic here and we'll see a lot of it and learn some local history too.
In this fast paced world our being needs to slow back to nature's pace. Regain, reset our equilibrium, feel in-touch, in the moment and better all around.
I believe self-help is the most sustainable way to grow and overcome difficulties, problems, depression and anxiety. Join on this journey and bring your 911 along.
My experience over the last 31 years has been in leading walking, touring and hiking groups. First as a Calif. State Park volunteer, then starting my own Meetup groups in 2013. And in a lifetime of experience in maintaining my own balance, equilibrium and mental health in a challenging world. My journey has included deep dives into cognitive behavior therapy, counseling and life experience as a working person, good friend and mentor. Aided by the joy and excitement of driving, especially the iconic Porsche 911.
Come out and get to know who and what is out there.
Welcome, your host,
Jordan Herrmann

Note: Even though this event is months away and the formal list of tours and events may not be available, most of the hotel/motel rooms in Lone Pine, Calif., home of, The Museum of Western Film History, are getting reserved. Also the most popular tours and events book quickly, (but just a few). There will be a lot of events and tours to choose from, even at the last minute.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's get a group together to attend this terrific event in the eastern Sierra, along Route #395, in the town of Lone Pine. (There will be in addition 29 separate outdoor tours (some on horseback.) to choose from in combination with the Festival film screenings, talks, forums etc. The sponsor is, The Museum of Western Film History.)
Here is a link with all the info. An old link.
I'm planning on visiting some of the natural and historic points of interest in the area as well. For example the nearby mountaintop mining town of Cerro Gordo built in 1875, becoming the richest silver mine in the state. There are many rock arches and mountain lakes to see as well as well as many other POIs. It will be nice to see the fall colors as well as we tour the area. the area is spectacular and there will be lots to do.
(There will be more plans once we have a group together with our stays reserved, get a ticket when available and reserve special tour selections, suggestions and questions to come . There is a list of places to stay in the area. See in photos. But you'll be using Booking.com or Hotels.com to reserve. If you are serious do it very soon. But cancellations are always possible if you can't make it.)

The first Sierra Film Festival Festival was held in 1990. A little film history background: Since 1920, hundreds of films; including Gunga Din, How the West Was Won, King of the Khyber Rifles, High Sierra; and TV Episodes, The Lone Ranger and Bonanza; with such stars as Tom Mix, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers, Gary Cooper, Glenn Ford and Humphrey Bogart, have filmed in these rugged Alabama Hills with the majestic Sierra Nevada background.
Join in 2025 for a unique extended weekend experience that includes celebrity guests and topical presentations, movie screenings and panels, many, many on-location movie site tours, book signings, and a Sunday Main Street parade.
It's a great time of the year for a road trip especially in the Sierra during the Fall.
