About us
Hey Morristown (and surrounding areas) -
I run an improv meet-up group out of the Morristown/Morris Plains area. We've existed now for several years and it's been a really great experience. The group is purely for fun and free of charge - we get together and play improv games (mainly short form, though some long from more recently). We also attend live shows as a group and watch improv together. It's a no-pressure situation for people of all skill levels. I personally have about 8 years of improv experience at this point. Other members range from totally inexperienced to years of experience under their belt. Everyone is welcome.
We also have a Facebook Page and Instagram
Please Note:
It's a group that gets together to do improv together, not a performance. We as a group also haven't been aiming to do any live performances. This is just for fun.
If you have an interest in doing improv comedy with a group of likeminded people in a fun, no pressure environment, you should join us.

Morristown Improv is partnering with the legendary ComedySportz for a special “one price for two shows” comedy night.
🚨 NEW VENUE ALERT: We are headed to Alpha Wave Studios in Whippany this month (in Whippany, not our usual Morristown Masonic Center spot!). Best part? There is plenty of free, hassle-free on-site parking!
The Double-Bill Lineup!!!
Act I: ComedySportz (7:30 PM – 8:30 PM)
This isn’t comedy about sports—it’s comedy as a sport! Two teams of ComedySportz all-stars from NYC and New Jersey go head-to-head in fast-paced theater games to earn your laughs and points awarded by the referee. It's clean, lightning-fast, and driven 100% by your suggestions.Act II: Morristown Improv Jam (8:45 PM – 10:00 PM)
Unscripted. Unfiltered. Right around the corner.
After the pros wrap up, it’s time for our classic community jam hosted by Marcus and Karl. Come play fun short-form improv games, or sit back and cheer on your friends from the seats. Open to everyone—no experience required, and the only rule is "Yes, and!"Why this isn't your average Thursday night:
- For the Improv-Curious: ANYONE in the audience can jump into games during the jam. We’ll warm you up so you look like a genius on stage.
- For the Spectators: Sit back, relax, and provide the suggestions that steer both shows. We promise not to drag you on stage (unless you're itching to get up there!).
- The Vibe: A fun, laid-back, and welcoming comedy hang where everyone has a supportive time.
- The Value: Two full shows for the price of one ticket.
