About us
Creating a new meetup group as an offshoot of others out of a need for scheduling additional meet times.
This group welcomes poets, novelist, short story writers, students, and screenwriters to share their work in return for constructive feedback. Writers of all seasons and genres welcome! Whether you just started your very first chapter or have published numerous works.
Overall, this group is framed around previous conditions which can be summated as follows:
15 minute read time
1 minute critique from each participant
5 minute exchange between all members, including presenting writer.
We want to have at least 3 writers, if not more, to present their works. Uploading them will not be necessary but encouraged. Uploading documents to follow will be helpful for giving critiques a specific context. This allows you, the writer, to receive higher quality feedback.
PSA: This group will use Microsoft Teams to meet. Its a free and easy to use application. Don't have one? You can set one up quickly here: Video Conferencing, Meetings, Calling | Microsoft Teams. Dm me (Alan-Michael Bresch) if you have any questions regarding the application or virtual meeting urls.
Email me at ABresch@ECPI.edu if interested!
