Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of MD is a Jewish hiking/social club for the Washington Metropolitan Area, MD, Washington DC, VA. Our parent organization is Mosaic Outdoor Clubs of America.
If you're under 18, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent or guardian).

I am aware that the activities of the Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of Maryland (Mosaic) may be extremely hazardous and I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved. I hereby accept and assume any and all risks including but not limited to injury, damage, or death.
I am aware that this is a release of liability between myself and Mosaic, including but not limited to its officers, directors, members, agents, leaders, instructors, guides, volunteers, employees, and representatives. I sign this of my own free will and am not under the influence of alcohol,drugs, or narcotics.
I agree to be solely responsible for my own safety and that of any minors in my charge. I represent and warrant any minors in my charge, and agree to make my own decisions regarding my own safety and the safety of those in my charge while participating in the activities of Mosaic. If I am not currently a member of Mosaic, I agree to pay the specified non-member fee, if required.
This 3.5mile easy hike has short hills. Pace: 3mph. The trek traverses Wolf Trap national park for the Performing Arts. After exploring the main concert area known as the Filene Center, the hike wanders through the colorful woodland before encircling Wolf Trap Farm pond. Latter of the circuit overlooks the Children's Theater-in-the-Woods, then parallels a scenic section of Wolf Trap creek, concluding with a gander through a Garden. Highlights include a mellow Marsh meander & a calamitous 'creek curve cliff'. A hair- raising hike!
NOTES:
1. Trail Forecast= MAP | Lots of roots & rocks. Beginning of hike has some road/ highway noise.
2. MEET SPOT PARKING LOT/ TRAILHEAD [use this link for GPS]; this is located at the bottom of a hill behind the Filene Center, beyond 'lot 4'.
3. Post- social BYO picnic lunch is TBD/ tentative

Support the mission & help fundraise for Team River Runner (TRR) in the 21st annual TRR Biathlon! This event had great weather & people last year. Open to all, Participants kayak 1mile in the Potomac river, then walk/ run/ handcycle 3miles on the Capital Crescent trl. ALL GEAR (kayak, life jacket, etc.) IS PROVIDED. Lunch/ snacks will also be offered. This event benefits Veterans, their families, & wounded warriors. You can also elect to virtually participate.

This past year the current board has continued to work on the new organizational structure that we hope will lead to growth and expansion in the years to come. The board is excited to be hosting the 2025 J.O.E. as well as growing MOCA's chapter base from the current 8 chapters in Canada & the U.S. (in addition to 8 legacy clubs). Voting is open to all members of MOCA clubs, chapters, & attendees that are in "good standing" with Mosaic.
Mosaic/ MOCA seeks personnel for the following positions (links explain duties/ roles):
