Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of MD is a Jewish hiking/social club for the Washington Metropolitan Area, MD, Washington DC, VA. Our parent organization is Mosaic Outdoor Clubs of America.
If you're under 18, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent or guardian).

I am aware that the activities of the Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of Maryland (Mosaic) may be extremely hazardous and I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved. I hereby accept and assume any and all risks including but not limited to injury, damage, or death.
I am aware that this is a release of liability between myself and Mosaic, including but not limited to its officers, directors, members, agents, leaders, instructors, guides, volunteers, employees, and representatives. I sign this of my own free will and am not under the influence of alcohol,drugs, or narcotics.
I agree to be solely responsible for my own safety and that of any minors in my charge. I represent and warrant any minors in my charge, and agree to make my own decisions regarding my own safety and the safety of those in my charge while participating in the activities of Mosaic. If I am not currently a member of Mosaic, I agree to pay the specified non-member fee, if required.

- Tuesday Nite Hikes: Sandy Spring via the Underground RR exp.Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park, Sandy Spring, MD
This 5.5mi easy hike is relatively flat & sometimes paved. Pace: 2.5- 3mph. The trek departs from the Woodlawn Manor property, home to the Montgomery County Police horse stables. After paralleling a creek the circuit then traverses the 'rural-neighborhoods' of Sandy Spring, which features a graveyard & a charred house. Highlights include the somber Sandy Spring, multiple monster- sized champion trees, & a humbling horse monument. A historic hike! | MAP

- Tuesday Nite Hikes: Lake Artemesia via RI Trolley trl (College Park)Parking for Lake Artemesia, Berwyn Heights, MD
This 5mi easy hike @530p SHARP is flat & paved. Pace: 3mph. The trek traverses the old Rhode Island Trolley line east of the UMD campus then visits a train station; be alert for trains! Some Metro Purple Line construction can be viewed here. Latter of the circuit weaves through Lake Artemesia, a popular recreation spot. Highlights include the MD Fire and Rescue Institute, & the College Park Airport (purported as the "world's oldest continually operating airport"). | MAP

- Tuesday Nite Hikes: Needwood- lake & mansion (Rockville)Rock Creek Regional Park Playground, Rockville, MD
This 5.5mi moderate hike has lots of roots & some steep, slippery slopes. Pace: 2.5mph. The trek encircles lake Needwood beginning with a historic mansion. Latter of the circuit meanders over mud, then steps across a small stony stream. Highlights include the dire Derwood dip and skip, & a snazzy bear sculpture. | MAP
