So it's been a while Newcastle, Ministry of Testing Newcastle took a 3 year gap over the Covid period but we are back!
To start off our events again we're planning on a bit of a social and panel event. The theme of the panel being "Software and Legislation".
The panel will include of some of your MoT Newcastle co-host.
Hannah Pretswell, Connor Irvine, John McGee and Russell Craxford.
We'll be hosting this event at the BJSS offices on Newcastle Quayside. The event will start at 6:15pm but you're welcome to join us from 6pm.
Well be providing food (probably pizza) and drinks so why not pop along and meet some real life testers!

Hannah Pretswell:
Connor Irvine:
A product of the Civil Service Apprenticeship - Connor kind of fell into testing while working for HMRC. Whilst there Connor became an accessibility advocate and developed a keen eye for detail in what was an incredibly fast paced delivery team that owner multiple services including the Personal Tax Account and Tax Credits.
Since moving on from HMRC, Connor has worked across both public and private sectors in multiple industries from sales, payroll and engineering. This has lead to Connor working in many tech stacks as a self proclaimed "Jack of All Trades".
John McGee:
A fan of all things test, speaker at a number of events around Newcastle and the North highlight probably been Test Bash Manchester.
Launched and organises internal test community meetups for the Global community at Sage and have had a long career here, currently Principal Test Engineer on the Sage 200 Product.
Russell Craxford:
A keen lover of quality and agile Russell hails from the North East of England. He’s a co-host of the Testing Peers podcast and a passionate speaker at events on topics around agility and quality. Russell has also helped run the "Test Clinic" at the EuroStar test conference for the past 5 years and enjoys helping people with their testing problems. Having tested and managed in various environments working heavily with distributed teams in various contained environments he is currently working as Head of Test Engineering at the Department of Work and Pensions.
