Welcome to the First event of 2025!

Starting the new year with a new instalment of Mot.
We'll be hosting this event at the Thought Works in Newcastle - 78 Grey St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 6AF.

On the 21st of January the Accessibility Team from Sage will be bringing their empathy lab to The Ministry of Testing! Martin Underhill and the team invite you to come along to get an insight into the barriers disabled people face every day. You'll get a flavour for things like:

  • Visual impairment such as tunnel vision, blurred vision, and colour blindness
  • Motor impairment like limited finger mobility, and hand tremor
  • How screen reader software works

Work your way round the room, try each simulator while attempting an every-day task, and have a chat with Sage's friendly accessibility specialists. We guarantee you'll leave with a new perspective on your testing practices!

More about Martin:
Martin Underhill is Lead Accessibility Specialist at Sage. He heads up the accessibility team who work with designers, developers, and testers across the company to ensure the products they produce are as accessible as possible.

We'll be providing food (probably pizza) and drinks so why not pop along and meet some real-life testers!
Talks starts at 6.30
Drinks after the talk at bar Baccus
