MoT Newcastle – Shift Left Security Testing and We Need to Talk About Cucumber

We'll be hosting this event at Thought Works in Newcastle - 78 Grey St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 6AF.

On the 24th of March The Ministry of Testing Newcastle Team are returning with 2 great local speaker’s on the line up! First up we have Alap Patal talking about Shift Left Security Testing: Integrating OWASP ZAP into Automation Pipelines and UI/API Frameworks.

Session Details
In the first session, Alap will share practical approaches to embedding security testing early in the development lifecycle using OWASP ZAP. We’ll look at leveraging ZAP Docker for passive scans, integrating security checks into existing UI/API automation frameworks, and adding security testing into CI/CD pipelines with minimal changes.

Next we have Callum McKeefery in a presention around Cucumber BDD entitled - "We Need to talk about Cucumber".

Alap:
Alap Patel is a Lead Test Engineer with over 16 years of experience in the QA space, currently working with DWP. He leads testing across a major digital programme, heading a team of more than 30 test engineers across 10+ projects. His expertise includes building test strategies, UI and API automation, performance and security testing, and applying AI in testing to improve productivity and build robust quality frameworks.
