Welcome to Mt Juliet / Wilson County Hiking Meetup Group. We strive for adventures, fun, and friendships. This group is for people who enjoy hiking, being outdoors and meeting new people. We feature hikes for all skill levels, kayaking, camping, biking, social gatherings and other outdoor activities. These events are a great way to get out, meet people, and smell some fresh air. If you have a suggestion, please feel free to contact the Organizer or post them on “ideas for meetup” on the calendar page.
Adventurous people, this group is for you. Come join us. It will be an adventure you won’t soon forget.

Get Involved:
We need Event Hosts & Hike Leaders! If you don't see your preferred activity listed or a hike near you, please volunteer by contacting the Organizer! You might be surprised just how many people are looking to do the same activity that you are. Other ways to volunteer would be a Greeter (Greet new members as they join the group.) or Monthly News Letter Editor (Write articles for a Monthly News Letter to be published on the message board.).

This unique landscape is also known as the Tennessee Desert!
Join Ranger Leslie Anne for a stroll around the glade to take in the sights of unique wildflowers and the sounds of the evening critters. This is a flat, easy one-mile loop trail.
All participants must register on the park website. Walk-ups and late arrivals are not permitted as parking is limited. The parking lot will be locked at 7 PM so please arrive on time for this hike.
Insect repellent recommended. No pets, please.

Directions to Couchville Cedar Glade:
From I-40 exit on Highway 171 and go south on South Mount Juliet Rd. for about six miles then bear left onto South Mt Juliet Rd. The parking area is one half mile on the right. From I-24, exit at Old Hickory (southeast Nashville near Hickory Hollow Mall) and proceed east for approximately 12 miles. Turn right at South Mt Juliet Rd about one and one half miles past the Long Hunter State Park entrance. The parking area is one half mile on the right.
