Oregon Ridge Trail Hike

This is a moderate 7-mile hike starting at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center parking, with beautiful scenery along Baisman Run in the Gunpowder watershed, and open woods atop the ridge. It is located conveniently close to Baltimore. We will hike early in the cool temps, and be done before lunch – so no planned lunch break; but we can stop for a quick snack at the Turtle Pond. Total elevation gain is about 900 feet, spread over four relatively-equal climbs, with a couple of minor stream crossings on rocks. Pace target will be about 2.5 mph.
