Henryton area of PVSP 7.25-8 miles

This hike in the Henryton area of Patapsco Valley State Park in Howard County is mostly out and back, above and next to the Patapsco River. We will use side trails which meander along two small streams to make a loop before heading back to our cars.

We will go 7.25-8 miles at a pace of 2.25-2.5 mph and with an elevation gain of about 750 ft. I expect there may be mud and some overgrown spots. For that reason, and for a couple of minor stream crossings, I recommend using hiking poles if you have them. Also bring water and lunch or a snack.

We will meet at the gravel lot on Marriottsville Rd which is just north of the house located at 714.
