Woodstock area hike of 6 - 7 miles with 600 feet of climb T*U*E*S*D*A*Y

This version of the hike will probably be 6 - 7 miles with a cumulative elevation gain of 600 feet or so. It's one of my favorites with hills, valley views and riverside walking. We'll aim for a walking speed of 2 1/4 mph.

This is a lollipop hike with the stick being about a half mile. We'll be on the north side of the river between Woodstock, from where we'll step off, and then go downstream toward Daniels and loop back to Woodstock.

There are some (usually modest) stream crossings. We'll be using some trails new to us so be prepared for some glitches. Some areas are grassy so long trousers and bug spray are recommended.

Please don't sign up for this hike unless you've completed a hike of similar difficulty recently.

We'll have a snack break about half-way through the hike.

Be prepared for rocky and rooty trails and copious mud. Sturdy waterproof hiking boots are HIGHLY recommended.
