Hollofield to Daniels

This hike leaves from the Patapsco Valley State Park Headquarters at Hollofield. We will start on the Peaceful Pond Trail and make our way over to Daniels Dam. We will stop along the trail on the way back for lunch. Expect 9+ miles and 1,100 feet of elevation gain. There are some minor stream crossings and one road crossing, the pace will be about 2.5 mph.

Join this hike if you are comfortable hiking at a fast pace on trails with un-even footing on a day with elevated temperatures.

Meet at the Hollofield Headquarters parking lot for a 9:30 starting time. Use the parking area on the north side of rte 40, if you are traveling eastbound when you pull into the park (8033 Baltimore National Pike), don’t go through the pay gate, instead make a left turn in front of the station.
