Liberty Coot

For this hike, we will hike 8-9 miles with an 1,100 foot elevation gain. Our path will include some loops and will involve some seldom-used trails & bushwhacking. There are no stream crossings. The pace will be 2.5 mph - we will have lunch at the end of Coot Peninsula. There will be plenty of nice water views and you will see one or two old mines.

The parking area at the trailhead is small, so we will meet at 9:20 at the Eldersburg Park & Ride for carpooling. From the Park & Ride it is 3.2 miles north to the trailhead parking lot, you will turn right immediately after the bridge.
