PVSP-Freedom Area 8.5 miles

This hike in Carroll county follows little-used trails along and near the Patapsco River from Freedom Park towards Marriottsville Rd. We’ll cover 8.5 miles with almost 1000 ft of elevation gain at a moving pace of 2-2.5 mph. Poles are recommended for some sections that are steep, narrow, rocky and/or muddy. Bring plenty of water and lunch or a snack.
