Appalachian Trail - native vegetation enclosures

This project is to remove old plastic fencing and install new metal fencing to protect native plants from deer in a native plant research project along the AT. It's been going on for some years and the old deer exclusion fencing has deteriorated substantially.

This will be mostly moderate labor combined with a lot of walking between the trailhead and research sites.

Bring work gloves, suitable clothing and footwear for work, water, snacks, lunch, bug repellent. Other tools will be supplied as needed.

You can leave early if you like. The end time isn't carved in stone.

The parking lot has limited space so that limits the crew size. If you use Google Maps, just enter Hunters Run Appalachian Trail parking for the location.
