Rockhaven, combination of new trails - six miles and 500' gain

This hike will be about six miles with about 500 feet of climb. We'll aim for a walking speed of 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 mph.
Weather Underground, my go-to forcaster, says to expect heavy rain Wednesday but a nice day on Thursday. Watch the website and your email in case the rains runs into Thursday.
Sections of the trails are rocky and moderately steep so poles and sturdy boots are highly recommended. Be prepared for mud.
We'll be meeting at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Catonsville: 2100 Westchester Avenue, 39.2804, -76.7774. Park behind the church. There's no fee where we'll be parking.
Please don't sign up for this hike unless you have recently completed a hike of at least this level of difficulty. Our mother club (see mcomd.org) offers multiple hikes of varying difficulty (easy to very strenuous) each week that may better fit your needs.
We'll have a snack/water break mid-hike and an optional brown bag lunch trailside after the hike. Bring a chair for comfort.
