This is a modification of a hike we did a few weeks ago. It will be about a mile shorter with 250' less climb than the earlier version. Don't be fooled by the metrics as there are very rocky and rooty sections that make this hike harder than it looks. We'll aim for a walking speed of 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 mph.

Poles and sturdy boots are highly recommended for the rocky/rooty sections. Be prepared for mud.

We'll be meeting at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Catonsville: 2100 Westchester Avenue, 39.2804, -76.7774. Park behind the church. There's no fee where we'll be parking.

Please don't sign up for this hike unless you have recently completed a hike of at least this level of difficulty. Our mother club (see mcomd.org) offers multiple hikes of varying difficulty (easy to very strenuous) each week that may better fit your needs.

We'll have a snack/water break mid-hike. If there's interest, we can have an optional lunch in Historic Ellicott City or an optional brown bag lunch at the cars after the hike.

By registering for this hike, you agree to the following waiver of liability:
