What we’re about
Welcome to Mountain Meeple: the premier Denver board game group! Whether you're a seasoned player or can't even define "worker placement", we have a place for you. We meet weekly at Edgewater Public Market to share favorites with like-minded board game nerds. Come to teach, come to learn, come to have a great time. All experience levels are welcome.
Rules of the Game
These are values we strive towards, and we expect all participants to do the same.
- Be present — Engage actively with the game and players… not your phone
- Be patient — Help others learn the game! We all learn differently
- Be adventurous — Play new games. Play with different people. Mix it up
- Be a teacher — Share your collection. Share your knowledge
- Be respectful — Treat others' games the way they ask. Let teachers teach
- Be welcoming — Avoid contentious topics; try to include everyone at your table
- Be a guest — Keep noise down, clean up, and partake of businesses if you can
You'll quickly become a favorite if you can hit these targets each week. If you struggle with a few, don't worry, we want to see everyone grow and thrive here and will be supportive.
Code of Conduct
All participants of our meetups are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will be present to help enforce this during any event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody. See our discussion page for more information.
Mountain Meeple is dedicated to providing a harassment-free board gaming experience for everyone, regardless of gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any Mountain Meeple event. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or banned from further events at the discretion of the Meetup organizers.
