The Connemara Challenge 🥾🥾👊

A three day hiking extravaganza for August, to include the Tawnyard Circuit, The Maamturks and Mweelrea via Teevnabinnia
Day 1 (Friday 23rd Aug): The Tawnyard Circuit via Bencreggaan/Bengorm - Distance 25.9kms, Ascent 1466m/Descent 1519m
Day 2 (Saturday 24th Aug): Maamturks Range - Distance 25.8kms, Ascent 2015m/Descent 2109m
Day 3 (Sunday 25th Aug): Mweelrea via Teevnabinnia - Distance 18kms, Ascent 1072m/Descent 1069m. This hike will start from the Delphi Inn Lodge.
These hikes, although challenging, are both for the avid and not so avid hiker, however experience and knowledge of these mountain ranges are an advantage, coupled with a high level of fitness and the ability to self-navigate. If you are new to hiking, this event is NOT for you! Each hike has options to cut short with varying exit points, if people do not want to do the whole distance. Options also available if people want to do one, two, or three days hiking. The logistics for each hiking day will be sorted closer to the time. Day 1 and 2 hikes will start at 7am to give every opportunity of completion. Of course, each hiking day will be weather dependent. Accommodation is down to each individual attending, however would recommend locating at the Leenane Inn.
