About us

This group is for people in their 30s and 40s who are carrying a heavy burden, feel burned out and drained, and are looking to connect with individuals going through the same struggle.
Maybe you're navigating a divorce. A career that looks fine on paper but feels hollow inside, or just the relentless exhaustion of being the person who holds everything together.
Move & Heal NYC creates small-group outdoor experiences that combine guided hiking, intentional movement, and facilitated group conversation — led by a licensed therapist and certified personal trainer who designed this specifically for people in transition.
This isn't a fitness group. It isn't group therapy. It's something in between, and honestly, more useful than either.
We keep groups intentionally small — never more than 6 people — so every experience feels personal, allowing everyone the chance to form intimate connections. Most of our trips head to the trails of Putnam County and the Hudson Valley, about 90 minutes from the city, with a vineyard stop to close the day. Designed to give you a break from NYC's constant activity and endless stimulation, this offers a chance to breathe and connect with nature and each other in a new environment while learning about the hidden gems of New York State.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
→ Women rebuilding identity and confidence after divorce or major loss
→ Men in their 30s and 40s who want real connection without the therapy label
→ Burned-out professionals who need to get out of their heads and into their bodies

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT TO EXPECT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Private transport from NYC. A guided hike with structured pauses and real conversation. Lunch together. A vineyard stop to breathe, decompress, and celebrate making it through something hard.
Every trip ends with a follow-up email from our facilitator — reflection prompts, resources, and an invitation to stay connected with the community.

A NOTE ON SAFETY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A short intake form is required for all participants. This is reviewed confidentially by our licensed therapist facilitator before your spot is confirmed. We do this because we take the quality of the experience seriously — and because some people need a different kind of support than we offer. We'll always tell you honestly if that's the case.
Questions? Reach out through Meetup or email us at growinglygrow@gmail.com.
We'll see you on the trail. 🌿
