The Bride! - Watch, Dine & Discuss

Here is yet another contemporary redux of Mary Shelley’s “monster who will never die!" Let’s hope it’s as good as Guillermo del Torre’s was. It certainly looks interesting with Maggie Gyllenhaal (Jake’s sister) directing and Christian Bale(!) cast as the monster. Critics have already variously described it is as an "American gothic romance" and a “punk-rock nightmare.”

We’ll see the 3:45 PM matinee screening (20% discount) at the AMC Mountainside 10 theater, meetup briefly in the lobby afterwards, and then head over to the Stage House Tavern at 1099 US-22, Mountainside, for our dinner and discussion at 6:30 PM.
