I am excited to relaunch the Unsung Gems series with one of all-time my favorites!
Have you ever watched a film and walked out of the theater buzzing with the excitement of seeing something new, original and exciting? That's how I felt after watching Run Lola, Run. I'm excited to watch it again and share it with the group!

Directed by Tom Tykwer, the film is known for its fast-paced techno soundtrack, innovative split-screen, animation, and video-game-like feel.
Released in 1998, it won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award and is considered a landmark experimental thriller. Run Lola Run is a riveting, heart (and pavement) pounding epic choose-your-own-adventure.

Rated 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, it stars Franka Potente, who you might know from the Bourne movies among others.

SYNOPSIS
In this visually and conceptually impressive film, two-bit Berlin criminal Manni (Moritz Bleibtreu) delivers some smuggled loot for his boss, Ronnie (Heino Ferch), but accidentally leaves the 100,000 mark payment in a subway car. Given 20 minutes to come up with the money, he calls his girlfriend, Lola (Franka Potente), who sprints through the streets of the city to try to beg the money out of her bank manager father (Herbert Knaup) and get to Manni before he does something desperate.
