End of Oak St + Post movie BBQ

We are happy to announce our 2026 Dinosaur BBQ!

In celebration of the release of the new dinosaur movie – End of Oak St movie we will hosting a BBQ for the post movie discussion.
This is just a placeholder until session times are released - however the plan is to watch a early session and then you are invited to a BBQ at our place in Metuchen.
PLEASE NOTE:

• Only members who have attended at least two events with us can attend. These events must be in-person.
• Please note as this is been hosted at a members private residence – host reserve the right to determine the final guest list.

This year we are going to provide all the food and beverages ( nonalcoholic) to make it easier for all. We would ask everyone provides a $20 contribution per person towards the costs of the catering. Pls free to bring your own adult beverages of course.

Hi all,
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone!

A few updates and details for the day:
🎬 Movie – 11:45 AM
We’ll be kicking off the BBQ at 2:00 PM, so we recommend catching the movie beforehand.
The easiest option looks to be:
AMC DINE-IN Menlo Park 12 – 11:45 AM session
(It’s a DINE-IN, but don’t go crazy ordering a bunch of food — we have a BBQ waiting for you! 😊)
The cinema is only about a 5-minute drive from our place.
Tickets are available now, so please go ahead and book your own ticket. If you’re watching the movie on your own and just joining for the BBQ please add a note in the comments so the group knows not to wait for you afterwards.

We’ll be busy getting everything ready, so we’ll see everyone back at our place for the BBQ!

🍔 BBQ – 2:00 PM
As noted in the event details, we’re asking for a $20 contribution per person towards the cost of food and beverages. You can bring cash or Venmo us on the day.
A few other details:

• Lunch will include all food and non-alcoholic beverages.
• If you’d like an adult beverage, please BYOB.
• If you have a fold-up/camping chair, please bring it along.
• We’ll send the exact address privately rather than posting it publicly on Meetup.
