This is the Opening night of the Montclair Film Festival and it is a much anticipated film - we have seen the previews and it looks good!
There does not appear to be a special event associated with it so it won't be as late of a night.
Signing up below means you want a ticket when we get them during the Member sale from 9/28-9/30/2026. IMPORTANT NOTE: MFF has changed their festival ticketing policy. So, we will only be able to offer Member discount pricing to THE FIRST 6 RSVPS on each event. After that number has been reached your tickets will be priced at the General rate. Your event host(s) will count as one of the 6 Member tickets. So, be sure to RSVP ASAP if you want that Member discount.
Tickets go on sale Monday, September 28 at 10:00am to Montclair Film Members and Thursday, October 1 at 10:00am to the public.
General $35
Member $30
DISCUSSION: The Chit Chat Diner is always a safe bet on Opening Night (and throughout the festival). 410 Eagle Rock Ave, West Orange, NJ 07052 https://www.chitchatdiner.com/
SYNOPSIS: Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Amongst the Island’s iconic statues, and as the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, Chris’s newfound bond with a pair of rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) threatens to send everyone’s trip to this remote paradise sideways. Driven by outstanding performances and a powerful story, WILD HORSE NINE marks Martin McDonagh’s triumphant return to the screen. Montclair Film is proud to present WILD HORSE NINE as the Opening Night Film of the 2026 Montclair Film Festival.
