MFF - I Play Rocky - Discuss @Honey Brewed Cafe
Details
I am happy to see the high critical rating for this true story that we have actually lived through! The all star cast of Anthony Ippolito, AnnaSophia Robb, Stephan James, Tracy Letts, Jay Duplass, Matt Dillon bring the backstory of Rocky to life in this one. Sylvester Stallone writes the screenplay for "Rocky," betting everything on himself to play the lead character against seemingly impossible odds. The result is the ultimate underdog story behind the ultimate underdog movie.

DISCUSSION: This looks like a really cute place to grab a bite between films. It's a 13 minute walk from the school so we can get our steps in too! 150 Valley Road Montclair, NJ 07042 https://honeybrewedcafe.com/
SYNOPSIS: Peter Farrelly’s I PLAY ROCKY is the electrifying true story of an unknown actor with an unshakable belief that he wasn’t just meant to write ROCKY—he was meant to be Rocky Balboa. Told “no” at every turn, Sylvester Stallone (a note-perfect performance by Anthony Ippolito) bets everything on himself, holding the line on playing the lead against seemingly impossible odds. I PLAY ROCKY is the ultimate underdog story behind the ultimate underdog movie, the portrait of an artist who won’t stop until he gives the performance that will define his career.
