Female Directors
Details
We all know how difficult it is for female directors in Hollywood. Mubi recently published a list from someone who spent all of 2015 watching only films by women.

The whole list is too long to watch or discuss in one session.
While you are free to watch as many films/directors as you wish, we would hope the discussion could focus on the following directors (some of whom we have discussed in prior sessions):

- Nora Ephron
- Mira Nair
- Jill Soloway
- Agnes Varda
- Lina Wertmuller
NOTES:
- You are welcome to watch films by other female directors
- You do NOT need to watch all the films by all 9 directors to attend. You can watch as many as you like, or NONE.
- You can come to the
Meeting to participate and share what you do know, or just come with a blank piece of paper to write down films you want to see on the future. - You do NOT need a PhD in film studies to attend. We welcome all who are interested in discussing film, and are especially kind and gentle with newcomers
