One year after the "Clashier du Cinema" between Godard and Truffault, the CFDG is once again hosting a battle between two legendary directors, facing off in several rounds of cinematic challenges! In one corner is the Tiger Lily Identifier, the Mad Hatter of Manhattan, and the Neuromancer of Neurosis (and Romance) - Woody Allen. In the other corner is the Life Defender, Casino Offender, and Funniest Einstein Contender, Albert Brooks.

Each round will pair off one of the directors' movies on a certain topic. Watch the movies in the topic(s) you like, and we'll see which director is more successful in bringing the topic to life!

Round 1 (American Outlaw): "Take the Money and Run" VS "Lost In America"
Round 2 (Adding Yourself to 'Reality'): "Zelig" VS "Real Life"
Round 3 (Watching Back on What You've Done): "Deconstructing Harry" VS "Defending Your Life"
Round 4 (Modern Romance): "Annie Hall" VS, er, "Modern Romance"

Will Allen deconstruct Brooks into nothing but a stardust memory as he takes him to the Woodyshed, or will Brooks end up wiping the (space) floor with him instead? Drop on by the Atlantic to add your own Match Points to who should win each round!
