Movies, Music and More Meetup Group is based in Canberra for those who share an interest or passion for cinema, music, theatre and other cultural activities in a relaxed social environment.

Events may include:

(1). Movie meetups covering a range of different genres. Movie meetups are usually held in Civic due to its central location and close proximity to coffee shops, bars and restaurants for that pre or post movie get together. For the major blockbusters, we offer the chance to see those movies in style, at Dendy Premium.

(2). Music meetups encompassing a wide range of musical formats and performances including choirs, classical music, indoor & outdoor concerts, local bands and musicians, military bands, musicals, opera, orchestras, the vinyl lounge and major touring artists.

(3). More meetups including other interesting activities or special events at our cultural institutions such as A Night at the Museum, Behind The Lines exhibition, Bridge to Bridge Walk, Enlighten Festival, Floriade, High Teas, Lake Burley Griffin Cruises, Wildlife Tours, Questacon By Night, Skyfire, The Bald Archies and Tim the Yowie Man Ghost Tours.

‘More’ meetups may also include trips to local wineries, comedy nights, art exhibitions, fish & chips by the lake, dance performances, street theatre, trivia nights and visits to the zoo.

If you enjoy any of the following activities: a good film, art exhibitions, challenging yourself at trivia, day trips to local wineries, enjoying local attractions, finding out more about our local history, going to the theatre, having a good laugh at a comedy night, having interesting conversations, learning something new, light exercise to stay fit and healthy, listening to live music, meeting new people, indoor and outdoor concerts, socialising with other members, visiting our cultural institutions for exclusive exhibitions and special events on offer right here in the Nation's Capital, this group may be for you!

IMPORTANT:

If you wish to become a member of Movies, Music and More (MMM) Meetup Group you will need to -

i) Answer the 5 questions - to see if this is the right group for you & also to assist us with planning future events.

ii) Upload a photo of yourself.

iii) Provide your first name (as a minimum) on your profile.

So that all MMM Event Hosts and Organisers will be able to recognise you at events, you'll need to upload a photo of yourself - in which you can be identified. THIS MUST BE DONE ON APPLICATION. Not "I'll upload it later". Without the appropriate photo of yourself as your "Profile Photo", your application to join MMM Meetup Group will be declined.

MEMBERSHIP RULES:

1. Movies, Music and More (MMM) Meetup Group is for "active" members which is defined as those members who attend at least one (1) event every six (6) months.

2. Membership of MMM Meetup Group will only be approved if your meetup profile shows that you live in the Canberra region (ie: the ACT or NSW) and you have provided satisfactory answers to the questions.

3. To join and remain a member of MMM Meetup Group you will need to maintain a photo of yourself and provide your first name (as a minimum) on your profile, at all times.

4. Inactive members (defined as those who have not attended any event in 6 months) may, at the discretion of the Organiser, be removed as a member of MMM Meetup Group.

5. Bullying, harassment, stalking, unwanted advances or contact, rude or offensive language or behaviour towards any member of MMM Meetup Group is unacceptable. Members are encouraged to report any inappropriate behaviour to Meetup New York (NY) on this platform.

6. No Show Policy. Members are responsible for keeping their RSVP to all events current and up to date. This means providing sufficient notice (within the timeframe advised by the Event Host) if a member is unable to attend an event. Members are also required to monitor events if they are on a “Wait List” in case a spot becomes available and that member can no long attend the event. If a member is marked by the Event Host as a “No Show” for three (3) events, that member may be removed from MMM Meetup Group at the discretion of the Co-Organisers or the Organiser.
