MST Birthday Naturalist Hike #2!

We celebrate the founding of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail during the month of September. Join us for a guided naturalist hike to explore Autumn wildflowers, butterflies, and birds near Elkin in Surry County. Led by local naturalist and native plant geek Bill Griffin.

Date: Saturday September 27
Time: 8:30 AM -- 11:00 AM

Location: Meet at Isaac's Trail Head on Carter Mill Road near Elkin
Difficulty: easy level grade with many stops and starts to identify flora & fauna; 2 miles out & back
Suggestions: long pants, tick/insect repellant, water; binoculars if desired
Bonus: for those who have extra time, we may explore a NEW SECTION of trail still under construction from Isaac's Trail Head eastbound.

We are scheduling this SECOND MST Birthday Hike on Saturday September 27. If a Saturday works better for you than a Friday, you may withdraw from Sept. 12 and add yourself to Sept. 27.

ALSO NOTE: Parking is limited at Isaac’s Trail Head. Car pool if you can!
